Would you like to add some original songs to your repertoire but don't know where to begin? Writing your own lyrics to an existing jazz standard is a fun way to add a personal touch to your song list, and it's easier than you might think! In this 45 minute workshop, we'll take a step by step approach to writing lyrics, and you'll leave with a rough draft of your very own song! Please bring a notebook and an instrumental jazz tune that you'd like to play with writing lyrics for.

Are you tired of your "inner critic" running the show? Put your wise mind back in the driver's seat with this workshop! Using mindfulness, Internal Family Systems (parts) work, and other science-based approaches, you will learn tools that will enable you to work with and even befriend your inner critic. That voice will finally recede into the background to reveal the confidence, peace, and joy that has always been there, just waiting to be discovered!

Taking a brief break from our usual pan-Latin American fare, Los Bohemios Quartet will present an evening of all Mexican music! From soulful rancheros to lively guapangos, Latin rock, and more, we will take you on a journey to explore the diversity of Mexico in all of its sonic richness. The Muse is a beautiful performance space in Lafayette with great sound, artwork from local artists, and a lovely listening room.
